Burton Pools & Spas has a long-standing history throughout Fort Smith, Springdale, and the surrounding areas. When brothers Dan and David Burton established the company in April 1978 under the name Tallman Pools of Fort Smith, it was a humble beginning. By working out of their garage with just a few hand tools, one truck, and a $7,000 loan from First National Bank, the Burton brothers began their foray into the pool industry.
Our Journey to Excellence
The business was incorporated under Burton Construction later that year, and by 1979, business volume had nearly tripled. While Burton Construction focused namely on inground vinyl liner pool construction, the brothers’ success throughout the community allowed them to expand their operation in 1981, rent a building in the area and sell above ground pools and hot tubs.
By taking on the retail market, Burton saw exponential growth. In 1993, the company was able to settle into two retail locations in Fort Smith and Springdale, and since then Burton Pools & Spas has remained a leading pool company throughout Arkansas.
